  • The Chinese Tea Ceremony is a significant and traditional part of a Chinese wedding. During the ceremony, the couple serves tea to their respective families as a sign of respect and gratitude. The bride and groom are traditionally dressed in red, a color that symbolizes luck, happiness, and prosperity in Chinese culture.

The ceremony begins with the couple serving tea to the groom's parents and immediate family, followed by the bride's family. As they serve each family member, they kneel and offer the tea with both hands, a gesture that shows respect. In return, family members give the couple red envelopes (lai see) containing money or jewelry, symbolizing their blessings and good wishes for the couple's future.

This intimate ceremony allows both families to express their love, blessings, and well-wishes for the couple's new journey together. It is a beautiful representation of family unity and honor in Chinese culture.
